KATHERINE DUNHAM influenced all of our contemporary choreographers in the U.S. Martha Graham took awhile to catch on but she did. Kathrine hd to leave the U.S. in order to have her company perform as they shook up the injustices in the U.S. too much. The wife of Harry Belefonte, Cleo Parker Robinson and Eartha Kitt all danced for Katherine.
